This is one reason why Toydarians never joined the galactic republic, the republic offered a different way of life, and the Toydarians refused to accept it. Toydarian also place a great value on material possessions. On average, Toydarians are shrewd bargainers who always try to get the best deal, but they also believe in treating others fairly.
History and Culture: Toydarians come from a swampy planet full of predators. The much smaller reptiles quickly evolved intelligence and wings. Toydarians set up a rather stereotypical culture, only it was more infatuated with having material possessions. Toydarians are capitalist and materialist to the utmost degree. Politics: Toydarians are ruled by a council of 12 judges. The judges are elected only by of age males. Only males can be judges.
Technology: Toydarians have nuclear power, and magnetic trams.
Trade: Toydarians do not have much contact with the rest of the galaxy by their own choosing. However, one or two trade ships land once a year and do minor trading with the Toydarians. Toydarians in the galaxy: Most Toydarians will not be encountered away from their home world. The ones that are, are usually exiled or the adventerous.

Hover: Hovering and flying comes naturally to Toydarians, like walking does to most species. For any complicated maneuvers, the Toydarian rolls the Str skill flying.
