Chocolate Parfait-Andree: A Front Porch Chef
Ingredients:Directions:
1 sm box Jello brand Instant Pudding (yields 2 C)
1 C whipped cream topping, thawed
10-20 chocolate cookies, crumbled
Prepare pudding according to manufacturer's directions.
Add whipped topping.
In parfait glasses, alternate layers of cookie crumbs
(1 T per layer) and pudding mixture,
beginning and ending with cookie crumbs.
Add a dollop of whipped topping and
a few crumbs for garnish.(optional)

Fresh Apple Pound Cake -Andi: a Front Porch Chef
Ingredients: Directions:
1 1/4 c. cooking oil
3 eggs
2 c.sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c.chopped nuts, your preference
3 medium apples, cored, peeled and chopped
Grease and lightly flour a 10" tube, or bundt pan.
In mixing bowl, combine eggs, oil, and sugar.
Beat 3 minutes.
In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda,and salt.
Add to oil mixture and mix well.
Add vanilla and cinnamon.
Stir to mix.
Stir in nuts and apples.

Directions: cont.Glaze:
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes,
or until cake tester inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
Cool slightly in pan.
Run knife around edge of pan to loosen
cake before removing from pan.
Cool cake completely on a wire rack.
Makes about 14 servings.
May be glazed with powder sugar glaze-very easy to make!
Take a cup of powder sugar and add water or milk,
stirring with fork until thinned to desired consistancy.
Then drizzle over warm cake.
Enjoy!
