A "Little" About Alison Haygood
Alison Haygood, after nine years at home with her children, is in her second year as Associate Choral Director at Killeen High School. She previously was a middle school choral director in Killeen for seven years. Alison just ended a five year job as director of the Youth Choir and handbell choirs at First United Methodist Church in Killeen. Alison earned the Bachelor of Music Education degree at East Texas State University, where she studied with Charles Nelson and William Gorham. While there she was named an Outstanding Senior in Music Education, and since has been listed in Outstanding Young Women of America and Who's Who Among America's Teachers. She is a member of TMEA and TCDA. Alison's husband Tommy, is Choral Director at the Killeen Ninth Grade Center. His Concert Boys Choir and Concert Girls Choir from Manor Middle School performed at the 1992 TMEA Convention. Alison and Tommy have three sons: Jake, 10, Zack, 8, and Luke, 6.
