Disclaimer; I think you all know the drill by now; I don’t own Digimon: Digital Monsters and I’m only doing this b/c I want to. Also, I do, in a sence, own all the new and origional charactors, transformations, attacks, suroundings, and the main plot. If I’ve done anything that is, in any remote way, like someone elses fan fics, I’m sorry and I didn’t know. I dout that will happen though, most of this stuff is pretty far fetched.

Authors Note; Hey all you fans out there (ya, all one of you *depressed sigh*), I’m really sorry for not getting out this (as well as part 4) sooner, but things were, and are, very VERY hectic. I’ve got alot of work that I still need to catch up on and this story had really turned into much more than I thought it would be. Well, yet again, I’m really sorry and I’m going to try and be more punctual in cranking these out from now on (but you know, a little note of encouragement can really help *wink wink* ^-^ ).

New Beginnings Part 5; Tersormon

By: Gomamon

Izzy woke up schreaming, memories of a strange, frightening dream still with him. When he looked around, he found that he was inside a strange cave, light by wall mounted torches. Mochimon, now awake, had probably been sleeping nearby.

"Welcome back," the brown and green Digimon chimed, "I’m glad your okay."

"What happened? Where are we? Um . . . I guess your not Ketomon anymore."

"Nope, I’m Mochimon now. We’re in Kantremon’s caves, and you were hit by Dakremon’s Nightmare Shock. You were asleep a really long time."

Kantremon stepped through a passageway with a basket full of fruit. She set it down on a table, then lay down near the two of them. "Good morning Izzy, I am glad that you’re alright."

"Everyone seems to be."

"The Nightmare Shock can be deadly."

"How? I just had a bad dream, that’s all."

"Well then, you were lucky. Many die in there sleep. Well, that aside, I thought the two of you might like something to eat. We only have fruit, but it’s something anyway."

"Kantremon, I’ve been wondering something."

"What?"

"What kind of Digimon are you?"

"Well, I’m an Animal group Digimon and my type is Data."

"Oh. What about you Mochimon?"

"Group Mammal and type Data, but I’m gona grow up to be a Vaccine type."

"How can you tell?"

"I just can," he said smiling "that’s all. Besides, I love to help people."

"Do you guys think we’re going to see Dakremon again?"

The atmosphere in the small cavern quickly darkened. "Izzy," Kantremon spoke quietly, "we are going to . . . today."

"What? But you said he could only come out at night."

"That’s true, but inside his Castle of Nightmares, it is always night."

"So why don’t we just stay away from there?"

"Izzy . . . he has hostiges."

"Hostiges? Who?"

"Some Motimon from a nearby village. We are planning an attack on the Castle, but we wanted to wait untill we knew you’d be okay."

"Motimon . . ." Izzy murmered, his voice barely above a whisper. The word brought back so many memories. And now . . . now they all seemed worthless. ‘I’ve lost Tentomon,’ he thought to himself, the full weight of the realisation threatening to drag him down. ‘I have to help those Motimon, for Tentomon if nothing else.’ He stood, looking Kantremon in the eye with a determined stare. "I’m going with you."

"You can’t! It’s dangerous!"

"I know, but I’ve been in dangerous situations before."

"Nothing like this. You can not trust your own eyes in there. Anything could be an illusion."

"I’ll be careful. Don’t worry. Besides, Dakremon has to be stopped, once and for all."

After a long, uneasy silence, Kantremon finely relented. "Alright, but we need to leave now. The light is our allie in this battle."

~*~*~*~*~

Many hours later, they had finely found there way into Dakremon’s castle. The halls were long and dark, light only by a few blue flame torches. Kantremon had a black cape slung around her shoulders because of her white coat, which would have stood out in the bleak surroundings. She seemed particularly uneasy.

"I do not trust this place."

"What do you mean Kantremon?" Mochimon asked, "How could you not trust a place?"

"I just do not trust it. It is like the walls have eyes."

"But that’s impossible."

A few sudden energy bursts from the right made Izzy jump back. "It seems pretty possible to me!" Small, spider like creatures dropped from the wall, forming a barrier infront of them.

Mochimon jumped infront of Izzy protectively. "Those are Venomon, spider Digimon with a venom darts attack."

"It’s not real," Kantremon yelled, "they are just illusions!" She charged forward, directly for the Venomon barricade.

"Kantremon, wait!" But it was too late. She charged forward, even as the Venomon fired their small, highly poisonous darts, and . . .

went clean through, as if there hadn’t been anything there at all. She turned back, determination and victory shining so brightly in her eyes they almost looked like they were glowing. "Come, we must hurry!"

"Wait!"

She jerked her head to the ceiling, where the strange voice had come from. A dark form flipped down to stand beside Izzy, the absolute last person, or digimon for that matter, any of them had ever expected.

"Tersormon!? What are you doing here? Get away form him!"

"I’m not here to hurt him, or you for that matter."

"Then why are you here?"

"To ask for your help."

Mochimon pounced infront of her, growling angrily. "Why would you want help from us? You have Dakremon, right? Or did he get tired of you?"

"No, that’s not how it happened. I . . . I’m not what you think I am."

"What?"

"I was under a spell. One of Dakremons. Sometimes it wears off, and I have control over my own mind again, but I can never seem to escape. He always catches me, and puts me back under his control. I don’t think he’s found out that the spell’s work off again . . . yet. I want to escape, to live my own life again, but I can’t do it on my own. I need your help."

"But how could we possibly trust you?"

"Mochi," Kantremon interrupted, shaking her head furiously, "we don’t have any time! I sense goodness in her heart, we must trust her for now. Tersormon, we are here to destroy Dakremon, and free his captives, can you help us?"

"Sure, I know where he’s keeping some Motimon. Those are the only captives I know about."

"Then lead us to them."

~*~*~*~*~

Is Tersormon really not evil? Can they trust her to help them, or is she just leading them into a trap? Will the insanity ever end?!? *You know what’s coming next, but I’ll say it anyway.* You have to wait until part 6 for the answers.
