Probably my favorite movie of the summer I couldn't wait to play Spider-Man 2 the game. I was hearing a lot about it and that compared to the last couple of Spider-Man games that came out this was going to truly be a great experience and it was. First off the movie cast brings their voices to the game however some of the cutscenes look nothing like them in real life. Now the main focus of the game was the ability to go anywhere and I mean anywhere. This game is the superhero version of Grand Theft Auto. You can swing on rooftops or run across the ground and the webs actually attact to buildings and don't just hook onto the air. The fighting system as been dumbed down to one button press for fighting, you can use combos if you combine the attack button with other buttons, but then it really just becomes a button masher during the fights. Your main purpose is to talk to civilians and get a mission like stoping a shoot out or save a falling person from a rooftop. Which is weird cause I don't remember Spider-Man ever asking somebody what was wrong in any comic book, cartoon or in the movies. Main problem with this is your doing the same mission over and over again. You can also do jobs for the Daily Bugle or deliver pizza or meet Mary Jane somewhere which adds some varity but not a lot. You also have events start without your interaction like grabbing a kids lost balloon. The major difference in the game comes from the story mode where you fight villians like Rhino, Shocker and of course Doctor Octopus. Each battle makes you fight them each in a different way which makes it really fun. One major problem I had in the game was the audio. They had the movie theme in the game, but mostly your going around the city in complete silence except when you hear someone yelling to get your attention. Also the lines that Tobey Maguire was given sometimes sound really depressing and really brings down the game. Although the game was great part of me enjoyed the last Spider-Man game better.
