Mystic Knights Fan Fiction - The Doomed Couple

The Doomed Couple

Princess Deirdre walked into the throne room of Kells castle one bright, sunny morning. She wore her pink court dress. She walked over to the window and looked out. She had a thoughtful expression on her face. Just then, Rohan, or the warrior Draganta as he was known to most of the villagers, walked into the throne room. He saw Deirdre at the window. Her face was bathed in sunlight. Her hair billowed in the wind. She was a picture of royalty.

Rohan walked over to her and placed his hands on her shoulders. Without turning around, Deirdre knew that it was him. She was used to his touch. It was a touch she knew for almost all her life. They just stood there, looking out at the kingdom that they would rule together someday. Suddenly, Princess Elizabeth and Prince Ivar walked into the throne room, hand in hand. Elizabeth and Ivar were much in love. Even though that they had only met a few months ago, they had grown to love each other.

The two couples looked at each other and smiled. They remembered quite well the troubles that used to go on between them. Elizabeth used to like Rohan, but she had grown out of her feelings for him. Now they were just good friends.

"Announcing, the King of Kells!" a nearby guard called out, startling the two couples. King Conchobar walked into the throne room with his druid, Cathabad, at his side. He walked over to his throne and sat down. Deirdre crossed the room and sat down in her little throne beside her father. Elizabeth did the same. Elizabeth was the adopted daughter of the King. She and Deirdre were childhood friends, but Elizabeth had moved to Temra when she was ten. Her parents had been killed and she had come back to Kells, only to find out that she was the Mystic Knights of Stone.

"Is there something troubling you, my king?" Rohan asked. King Conchobar looked at the four knights that were in the room. He looked at Cathabad, and sighed. "Where are Angus and Garrett?" he asked. "They need to be here for what I have to say." He called a guard over and sent him out to find Angus and Prince Garrett. He came back with the two knights a few minutes later. "Is there something that you wish to speak to us about my king?" Angus said.

The king nodded. "Something has come up that concerns all of the Mystic Knights." he said. "What is it father?" Elizabeth said. Cathabad spoke up. "I have had a vision. A vision that does not spell the end of Kells, but that spells the end for the happiness of a couple that is standing in this room." he said. Rohan looked at Deirdre. Deirdre looked at Rohan. Elizabeth looked at Ivar. Ivar looked at Elizabeth. One thought was on all of their minds. Which couple will be torn apart?

Cathabad apparently read their thoughts. "I do not know which couple it will be," he said. The knights apparently gave a sigh of relief. "Excuse me my king, but what does this have to do with Garrett and myself?" Angus said. The king nodded. "I knew that you were going to ask that question. This concerns you and Garrett. One of you may be the one to tear that couple apart," he said.

The knights looked around the throne room at each other. "I have other business to attend to," Cohonobar said. He got up from his throne and walked out of the room. Garrett and Angus followed him out. Ivar and Elizabeth left as well.

That night, Rohan and Deirdre had a long talk about their relationship. They decided that they couldn't be the couple that was doomed. They undressed and got ready for bed. They lay down, wrapped their arms around each other, and went to sleep.

The next morning, Deirdre awoke to the sound of trumpets. She looked over to the side. Rohan was already gone. She got up and wrapped her robe around her. She walked to the throne room. There she found a young girl standing next to Rohan. She was tall, with long brown hair, and deep brown eyes. She wore a dress much like Deirdre's, except this one bore the royal Temra symbol on the edge of the sleeves. "Ah, Deirdre, I'd like you to meet Sarah. She is the princess of Temra," King Cohonobar said.

Deirdre looked at the newcomer. She didn't trust her. She was from Temra, after all. "Father, why is she here? If she is from Temra, then why is she in the castle?" Deirdre asked. "What's going on?" a sleepy voice asked from behind Deirdre. Deirdre turned to see her sister padding into the room. Her blond hair was a mess. Ivar came in behind her. "Ivar, Elizabeth, this is Sarah, Princess of Temra." Rohan said. Sarah turned. "Princess Dierdre, Princess Elizabeth, Prince Ivar, it is a honor to meet you," she said with a smile.

Rohan looked at his wife. He could tell that Deirdre didn't like Sarah just because she was from Temra. "To answer your question, Deirdre, we can trust her." Rohan said. Deirdre scoffed. "How?" she asked. Rohan swallowed hard. He looked into the blue eyes that he had grown to love. He could not lie to her. "We can trust her," he said. "We can trust her because she is my sister."
