Stained Glass Cookies
Ingredients:Directions:
1 pkg. colored miniature marshmallows
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter or oleo
1 c. chopped nuts
In a small saucepan melt chocolate chips and butter.
Pour over the marshmallows and nuts that have already been mixed in a lg bowl.
Mix.
Divide in 2 parts onto waxed paper.
Form into logs.
Refrigerate until firm.
Slice about 1/2 thick inch when chilled.

CATHEDRAL WINDOW COOKIES
Ingredients:Directions:
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. margarine
10 oz. pkg. colored marshmallows
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Coconut or confectioner's sugar
Melt chocolate chips with margarine, let cool.
Place marshmallows and nuts in bowl and pour mixture over it.
Gently mix.
Divide mixture into four parts.
Place each part on a piece of aluminum foil or wax paper and shape into a log.
Sprinkle with coconut, if desired, and roll up in foil
Pinch ends of foil and place in refrigerator overnight.
Cut into thin slices and serve.
Store remaining slices in refrigerator.

Jello Cookies
Ingredients: Directions:
3/4 C melted shortening, cooled (may use part softened butter, instead)
1/2 C sugar
1 t vanilla
1, 3 oz pkg fruit flavored Jello ( I like strawberry-banana best)
2 eggs
2 1/2 C flour
1 t baking powder
1 t salt
Melt shortening, let cool slightly
Add jello, sugar, eggs and vanilla, blending thoroughly.
Blend in dry ingredients, gradually.
Roll into 3/4 inch balls.
Place 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
If desired, flatten with the bottom of a glass or cookie "stamp" that's been dipped in sugar.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 6-8 minutes.
Makes 5-6 dozen.

Aunt Glenna's Cookies
Ingredients:Directions:
2 C flour
1/4 lb oleo
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1 t baking powder
3/4 C buttermilk
1 C sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
Topping:
3 T granulated sugar
1 T cinnamon
Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Cream oleo and sugar until smooth.
Add egg, blend well.
Gradually add flour mixture and buttermilk, alternately.
Add vanilla.
Drop by teaspoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with a cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 8 minutes.
