DAF, short for "van Doorne's AanhangwagenFabrik" (van Doorne's Trailer Factory), was founded by Hub van Doorne in 1928 at Eindhoven, Holland. Together with his brother Wim, the company have evolved to become one of the largest truck and bus manufacturer in Europe.
