Vienna Malayalee Association

Austria is a small country almost twice the size of kerala with a population of 7.6 million. It is having nine states. Vienna is the capital of Austria and at the same time the smallest state. Vienna itself is divided in to 23 districts. The population of vienna nearely 1.6 million. It is a socialist democratic republic and now it is having a coaliton gov. consisitng of the socialist party and the christian democratic party.

It is a neutral country and counted as one of the western countries in Europe. Vienna is also the third biggest UN city ie Newyork,Geneva and Vienna.

Indian cahtolic community

To teach the "mathru bhasha" to new genaration,Vienna malayalees have two Malayalam School 'Kairalee nikethan' and 'Balakairali'. A part of Kairalee Nikethan there is a library. The biggest malayalam library in Europe,having more than 3500 books in malayalam.

The vienna Malayalee Association,Which is the first Malayalee Association in the history of Austria was initially formed in 1974 as a non-profit cultural organisation to promote quality communication and better relationship between`malayalees´.
