| Explaining The <title> tag
One of the most important tags in html is the <title> tag. If you do no have this tag, you will not be seen in most of the most popular search engines. Most search engines get your title right from the <title> tag. When someone searches for a given topic most of the time, they type the title of something. In addition, when they get the results back from the search engine they are all listed with the titles. If you do not have a title tag, you will not be seen in most of the search engines. When placing the <title> tag it should be between the <head> and the </head> tags. It should look like this. <head> <title> Your title here</title> </head>
There is another method that you want to do is put some of your most important keywords in your title. You would want to do this because the <title> tag gets the most weight. Therefore, when people search these words they will be the first ones to show up in the results. It would like the example below if you where doing the <title> tag with keywords. <head> <title> Your Title Here: Keyword 1, keyword 2, Keyword 3</title> </head>
Note: you would not want to put to many keywords in your title because it would show all keywords instead of you title.
