Could there be a Mario Clash 2?

Virtual Boy's Possible Future

In August 1996, Nintendo was going to have a re-launch of Virtual Boy, with three new games: Dragon Hopper, Bound High, and Zero Racers. But, instead, Nintendo cancelled Virtual Boy and all its future games.

But, think about it. Virtual Boy was the first 3-D home video game system. And since the time that it was cancelled, there has been nothing else like it.

Maybe we'll get Bound High afterall.
I believe that Nintendo will either re-launch Virtual Boy or launch something like Virtual Boy sometime within the next few years. Remember, this is just what I think. I have no proof that Nintendo is doing so. It will definitely not be this year, because Nintendo is focusing its attention on the 64DD. But afterwards, Nintendo might release what I like to call Virtual Boy 2.

Perhaps they'll get the right games this time around. If they had games like the three mentioned above at the launch of the system in 1995, I think more people would have bought the system.

Just think of playing a game like Super Mario 64 in real 3-D. Virtual Boy already has one polygon-graphics game: Red Alarm. And Zero Racers, the cancelled racing game, also used polygon graphics. So with the advancement of technology a Super Mario 64-like game could be possible on a system like Virtual Boy.

Only time will tell. If I hear anything about another (enhanced, perhaps) Virtual Boy, you'll see it right here on Kyle's Nintendo Page.
