OBITUARIES

These obituaries are for our family. I am copying these as they were printed. I know that there are some errors, for example in the obit for James Perry Householder it lists his brother Olive of Poplar Bluff, MO; we in the family know that this is actually Uncle Ollie. However, I wanted to put these here as they were written and not change them even if I do know the corrections. In this way I hope to show that even in 1957, errors could be made in documents. So I say check everything closely, you just never know where you will find something that is easy to over look that is just what you are looking for.

AGED CLAY COUNTIAN BURIED LAST WEEK

Robert Householder, affectionally known as "Uncle Bob", age 72, died Sunday, Sept. 5, and was buried on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at New Hope Cemetery.

Funeral services were held in the morning and burial made at 12:00.

Robert Householder and wife have been residents of this county for many years, just how long we were unable to learn, and lived in or near the community where he died.

An unusual incident connected with his passing is that he was the first member of his family to die. He and Mrs. Householder has raised a family of 9 boys and 2 girls, all of whom survive with the widow. All of his family were present at the time of his death.

In addition to the immediate family, he is survived by 48 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren besides a host of other near relation.
