Katey’s Party
~ Chapter 2 ~
" Pizza’s here!" Katey yelled, as she ran to the door, money in hand. That day she was wearing the usual, a navy sweater, baggy jeans, and green Airwalks. She still had the blue streaks in her hair, and her ears were pierced 4 times on each ear.
When she opened the door she saw Renee, with bright purple steaks in her long, red hair. She was wearing an army camouflage print t-shirt, black Vans, and her baggy green cargo pants. She also had a silver ball chained necklace on, her ears pierced 3 times, and a new nose ring.
"Whoa! I like your nose!" Katey said.
"Thanks!" Renee answered smiling, " I got it done at the mall today, and it was an educational experience because I learned something new!"
"What did you learn?" Katey asked amusingly enticed.
"I learned that if you hit on the sales clerk, you get a discount! So he gave me his phone number!"
" Cool," Katey laughed. " I’ll keep that in mind! So are you gonna call the dude?"
"Are you joking?! He was fat and butt ugly!" Renee yelled.
They both giggled hysterically.
Suddenly the doorbell rang.
"That must be Annie and Ali," Renee said.
"I hope it’s the pizza, I’m starved! No offense to Annie and Ali though," Katey replied.
"None taken," Annie said walking into the living room surprising both Renee and Katey. Her and Ali had used the back door.
" Ok, then who’s at the front door?" Katey wondered as she opened it. Luckily, it was the pizza man with their cheese and pepperoni pizza. Katey paid the guy, took the pizza, and shut the door while Renee helped Ali unload her drum set from her Dad’s truck. Annie sat her guitar case down by Renee’s.
Today, Annie’s blond hair was in her normal, little braids, and she was wearing a gray sweatshirt, baggy jeans, her big navy blue Vans, and an army camouflage choker. She also had an eyebrow ring, and her ears were pierced just twice.
"Is that all?" Renee asked coming back in.
"Yeah, that’s all," Ali answered, dressed in a brown Cocoa Puffs Cereal t-shirt (Ali loves to wear those t-shirts that are like advertisements), baggy carpenter jeans, navy and black Vans, and a silver ball chained necklace (*the type of necklace I’m talkin’ about is the kind where the silver ball on the chain are as big as marbles almost.) Ali is, and has always been obsessed with Piglet on Winnie the Pooh. So she recently bought a watch with Piglet on it, and she wears it everyday. Ali had green streaks in her blond hair, and both of her ears were pierced four times.
"Well, since everybody’s here, lets eat!" Katey said sounding hungrier than ever.
"Ok, cool," said Renee, running for the pizza.

"Uh, I’m stuffed," grumbled Annie.
"Yeah, me too!" Ali added.
"Come on guys, lets practice now." Renee suggested.
"Ok," answered Katei, and the twins.
After everyone had taken their places, and got their instruments together, Ali said, "What song should we practice first?"
"How about my song!" said Annie happily.
They all agreed.
"Here goes," Annie sighed.
They all started playing their instruments, and Annie sang lead, while Renee and Ali sang the back up.
Annie sang,
"Walking down a path
Mind and soul so free,
You stumble upon initials
Imprinted on a tree.
It reminds you of a love
That you once had
A very special memory
That makes your heart so sad.
Refrain- Upon the many pleasures
We find ourselves apart, it seems
As if it’s coming directly from your heart.
A warm and simple feeling,
Almost as if you’re free
But your life is very different
Then how it was planned to be.
Sitting on the street,
Cup of change in hand
Thinking of your life,
Not certainly how you planned.
You dreamed to be a lawyer
Helping people when they’re sued
But instead you find yourself
Living off water and stale food.
The Sergeant has just told you
With lots of sympathy and remorse
But you know that’s not what you choose
This definitely wasn’t your course.
Going to the war,
You expected he’d come home,
But all in a simple gunshot,
He’d left you all alone.
Refrain- Upon the many pleasures,
We find ourselves apart, it seems
As if it’s coming directly from your heart
A warm and simple feeling,
Almost as if you’re free
But your life is very different
Then how it was planned to be.
Your life is very special
Like a work of art
And even when times are tough
Always follow your heart."
"Whoa, I really like that!" Katey said.
"Yeah, it’s pretty smooth." Renee added.
After that they put on the Foo Fighters cd (the self titled one, of course), and moshed all night long.
