This country music duet made their debut at a small town festival in central Indiana on August 3, 1997. They were the 1998 finalists on the 93.9 FM "The Bear" Stage Contest, at the Country Music Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana. Young & Sharp won the 1999 contest on April 10. They received $250 in cash and a $1000 worth of recording time at TRC Studios. They will also be performing at special events for 93.9 FM throughout the year. Young and Sharp consists of: Ron Young (acoustic guitar and lead vocals), Sheri Sharp (tambourine and lead vocals), Joseph Shreve (bass guitar, fiddle, mandolin and vocals), Curt Edwards (drums), Dave Sapp (keyboards), and Michael Shepard (harmonica, steel and lead guitar). Sadly Missed will be Brad and Tim. Their contribution to Young & Sharp is what made them what they are today--awesome! Brad's last performance was on May 22 at Mulligan's Pub. Ron Young
Ron has a magnetic personality. Request his original "Seven Days of Marriage", and you'll be singing along in no time. In between Ron's busy schedule, he ran back and forth to Nashville trying to cut his demo. That is, when he was not playing golf. I know of two songs that will be on the demo, "Ruby Lee", cowritten by Ron and Wes Copper, and "Been There Done That", cowritten by Ron and Andy May. The demo is finished. We are just waiting on the production.

Joseph Shreve
Joseph has been repairing guitars and other stringed instruments for over 12 years. He studied guitar repair with Bryan Galloup at the Guitar Hospital in Big Rapids, Michigan (the premier repair school in the country). While there, he learned modern and traditional repair techniques. He also majored in Classical Guitar at Ball state.
A professional musician in the Indianapolis, Indiana area for 20 years, Joseph has played and toured with award-winning bands such as Under Fire, Southwind, Roadhouse, and now Young & Sharp. He lives with his wife and their two dogs, Mogli and Ziggy. Joseph says they are their babies.
