Gras! O'r fath beraidd sain,
I'm clust hyfrydlais yw:
Gwna hwn i'r nef ddatseinio byth,
A'r ddaear oll a glyw.
Gras gynt a drefnodd ffordd
I gadw euog fyd;
Llaw gras a welir
ymhob rhan
O'r ddyfais hon i gyd.
Gras ddaeth â'm traed yn ôl
I lwybrau'r nefoedd lân;
Rhydd gymorth newydd im bob awr
I fyned yn y blaen.
[Gras ddyg fy nghrwdrol draed
I ffordd y nef ddibo'n;
A chymorth newydd gaf bob awr
Wrth frysio 'mlaen at Iôn.]
Gras a gorona'r gwaith
Draw mewn anfarwol fyd;
A chaiff y clod
a'r moliant byth
Gan luoedd nef ynghyd.
ddaeth â'm traed :: ddaeth â'n traed Rhydd gymorth newydd im :: A chymorth newydd rydd

Tonau [MB 6686]: |
Grace, O what a sweet sound!
To my ear a delightful voice it is:
This will make heaven resound forever,
And all the earth shall hear.
'Twas grace that first prepared a way
To save a guilty world;
And grace is to be seen
in every part
Of all this scheme.
Grace brought my feet to follow
The paths of pure heaven;
It gives new help to me every hour
To go forwards.
[Grace will bring my wandering feet
To the road of heaven painlessly;
And new help I shall get every hour
While hurrying on to the Lord.]
Grace will crown the work
Yonder in an immortal world;
And it will receive the praise
and honour forever
From the hosts of heaven together.
brought my feet :: brought our feet It gives new help to me :: And new help it will give

Grace! What a sweet kind of sound!
To my ear a delightful voice it is;
This causes heaven to resound forever,
And all the earth shall hear.
Free grace has arranged a way
To deliver a guilty world;
And grace is to be seen
in every part
Of all this plan.
Grace shall lead my feet
To walk the paths of heaven;
And help I shall get continually in need
To draw near to Jesus.
Grace shall crown the work
Yonder in an immortal world;
And it shall get the esteem
and the praise forever
From the hosts of heaven together.
tr. 2009,14 Richard B Gillion |
Grace, 'tis a charming sound,
Harmonious to mine ear;
Heaven with the echo shall resound,
And all the earth shall hear.
Grace first contrived the way
To save rebellious man;
And all the steps
that grace display
Which drew the wondrous plan.
Grace led my roving feet
To tread the heavenly road;
And new supplies each hour I meet,
While pressing on to God.
[Grace led my roving feet
To tread the heavenly road;
And new supplies each hour I meet,
While pressing on to God.]
Grace all the work shall crown,
Through everlasting days;
It lays in heaven
the topmost stone,
And well deserves the praise.
