Duwioldeb fydd yn elw mawr

Duwioldeb fydd yn elw mawr
  Pan ddelo'r awr i farw:
Bydd fwy ei gwerth
    na'r byd i gyd,
  A'i berlau drud, pryd hwnw.

A hi a'n dwg uwchlaw y dòn
  Drwy afon donog angeu,
Yn ddiogel iawn i'r nefoedd draw,
  Yn mhell uwch law gofidiau.

Godliness will be greatly rewarding
  When the hour comes to die:
It will be of more worth
    than all the world,
  And its costly pearls, at that time.

And it will lead us above the wave
  Through the billowing river of death,
Very safely to heaven yonder,
  Far above the hand of griefs.
