Yr Iesu yw fy Nuw

(Iesu, ffynon dedwyddwch.)
  Yr Iesu yw fy Nuw,
    Fy noddfa gadarn gref;
  Ni fedd fy enaid gwan
   Ddim arall dan y nef;
Mae Ef ei hun, a'i angeu drud,
Yn uwch na'r nef, yn fwy na'r byd.

  O! ffynon fawr ei rhin,
    Yn llawn o win a llaeth!
  Sydd yn ei haeddiant Ef,
    O'r nefoedd tarddu wnaeth;
Dewch, bawb ynghyd,
      i wel'd y fraint
A ga'dd y lleiaf un o'r saint.

  Mae'm dymuniadau i gyd
    Yn cael boddlonrwydd llawn,
  A'm holl serchiadau 'nghyd,
    Hyfrydwch nefol ddawn,
Pan fyddwy'n gwel'd, wrth oleu'r wawr
Mai eiddo im' yw Iesu mawr.

Tôn [666688]: Alun (J A Lloyd 1815-74)

(Jesus, a fount of happiness.)
  Jesus is my God,
    My firm, strong refuge;
  My weak souls possesses
    No other under heaven;
He himself, with his costly death, is
Higher than heaven, greater than the world.

  O fount of great merit!
    Full of wine and milk!
  Which is in His virtue,
    From heaven issue it did;
Come, everyone together,
      to see the privilege
The least one of his saints got.

  All my desires are
    Getting full satisfaction,
  And all my affections altogether,
    The loveliness of a heavenly gift,
When I am seeing, by the light of dawn,
That belonging to me is great Jesus.
tr. 2017 Richard B Gillion
