Yng ngweinidogaeth Eglwys Grist
  Agorir athrist fylchau;
Syrth ambell un
    i nwyd y fall,
  Ac arall syrth yn angau.

I lenwi'r bylchau
    dewis raid
  Fugeiliaid fo o galon
Yn caru Crist, mawrhau ei waith,
  A rhodio'n berffaith gyson.

O! Arglwydd, chwiliwr calon dyn,
  I'th waith dy Hun tuedda
Y rhai ddewisaist; a hwynt-hwy
  Â'th Ysbryd mwy eneinia.

O! cadw d'Eglwys byth, a chau
  Ei drws rhag gau athrawon,
A llywodraether hi heb baid
  Gan wir fugeiliaid ffyddlon.

In the ministry of the Church of Christ
  Sad breaches are to be opened;
An occasional one falls to the
    passion of the pestilence,
  And another falls in death.

To fill the breaches it is
    necessary to choose
  Pastors that be from the heart
Loving Christ, magnifying his work,
  And walking perfectly constantly.

O Lord, thou searcher of the heart of man,
  To Thy own work attract
Those Thou didst choose; and them
  With thy Spirit anoint evermore!

O keep thy Church forever, and close
  Her doors against false teachers!
And may she be governed without ceasing
  By true, faithful pastors.
