Y mae syched ar fy nghalon
Heddyw am gael gwir fwynhau
Dyfroedd hyfryd
ffynnon Bethle'm -
Dyfroedd gloyw sy'n parhau;
Pe cawn hyny,
'Mlaen mi gerddwn ar fy nhaith.
Y mae gwrês y dydd mor danbaid,
Grym fy nwydau fel y tân,
A gwrthrychau gwâg o'm cwmpas
Am fy rhwystro i fyn'd yn mlaen:
Rho i mi gysgod,
Addfwyn Iesu, ganol dydd.
Dyma'r man dymunwn aros,
O fewn pabell bur fy Nuw,
Uwch terfysgoedd ysbryd euog
A themtasiwn o bob rhyw,
Dan awelon,
Peraidd hyfryd tir fy Nhad.

There is a thirst upon my heart
Today to get truly to enjoy
The delightful waters
of the fount of Bethlehem -
Clear waters which are enduring;
If I got this,
Forward I would walk on my journey.
The heat of the day is so fiery,
The force of my lusts like the fire,
And vain objects around me
Wanting to obstruct my going forwards:
Give me shelter,
Gentle Jesus, at midday.
Here is the place I wish to stay,
Within the pure tent of my God,
Above the tumults of a guilty spirit
And temptations of every kind,
Under the sweet,
Breezes of my Father's delightful land.
