Wele dy Frenhin, Seion fwyn,
Yn dyfod oddi fry:
Crechwena, ferch, a derbyn Ef
Yn llon, mewn clodydd cu.
Mae'n d'od at garcharorion gwael,
O'u rhwymau i'w rhyddhau:
Y bythol byrth,
a'r dorau pres
Sy'n agor iddo'n glau.
Y galon ddrylliog a iachâ
Yn hylwydd ac yn hael;
A chyflawn yw o bob rhyw ras
I gyfoethogi'r gwael.
Mewn sain hosanna, Frenhin hedd,
Mawr groesaw iti fydd:
Y nef ar gan ddadseinia'th glod
Yn wastad nos a dydd.

Tôn [MC 8686]: Tallis's Ordinal |
See thy King, dear Zion,
Coming from above:
Smile, daughter, and receive Him
Cheerfully, in fond praises.
He is coming to wretched prisoners,
From their bonds to free them:
The everlasting portals,
and the doors of brass
Are opening to him readily.
The broken heart he will heal
Prosperously and generously;
And full he is of every kind of grace
To enrich the wretched.
In a sound of Hosanna, King of Peace,
A great welcome to thee there will be:
The heaven in song echoes thy praise
Constantly night and day.

Hark, the glad sound! The Saviour comes,
The Saviour promised long!
Let every heart prepare a throne,
And every voice a song.
He comes the prisoners to release,
In Satan's bondage held;
The gates of brass
before Him burst,
The iron fetters yield.
He comes the broken heart to bind,
The bleeding soul to cure;
And with the treasures of His grace
To enrich the humble poor.
Our glad hosannas, Prince of Peace,
Thy welcome shall proclaim;
And Heaven's eternal arches ring
With Thy belovèd name.
