Wel dyma'r newydd da,
A lawenytha'r cla',
  Messia ga'd;
Alpha ac Omega yw,
Achubwr dynol-ryw,
Fe'n dwg i'r nefoedd wiw,
  At Dduw ein Tad.

O werthfawr had y wraig,
Fe 'sigodd ben y ddraig,
  Prynwr y byd;
Yn faban gwelwn e'
Mewn preseb yn ein lle,
O Frenin mawr y ne',
  Molwn e' i gyd.

Bu Brenin nefoedd fawr
Heb le 'roi' ben i lawr,
  Rhyfedded dyn;
Y cyfoethocca'n bod
Y tlotta un erio'd,
O seiniawn iddo glod
  Oll yn gyttun.

Y Seren foreu yw,
Haul y Cyfiawnder gwiw,
  Goleuni'r byd;
Y cywir Eirol-wr,
Ein noddfa glyd a'n Twr,
A'n Ceidwad da ni'n s'wr
  Yw'n Priod drud.

Doed holl drigolion byd
I foli Duw ynghyd,
  Am gariad rhad;
Pan oeddem oll, heb lai,
I ddinistryw yn nesau,
I'n dwyn o ddinas gwae
  Gwaredwr ga'd.

Dewch gaethion o bob gwlad
At Iesu 'gael rhyddhad,
  Gwaredwr yw;
I'n gwared ni y daeth
O safn y pydew caeth,
Ein dyled talu wnaeth,
  Boddlonodd Dduw.

See, here is good news,
Which causes the wounded to rejoice,
  A Messiah is got;
Alpha and Omega he is,
The Saviour of human-kind,
He will lead us to the worthy heavens,
  To God our Father.

O precious seed of the woman
He shattered the head of the dragon,
  The Redeemer of the world;
As a baby we see him
In a manger in our place,
O great King of heaven,
  Let us all praise him.

The great King of heaven was
Without a place to lay down his head,
  Let man wonder;
The richest being
The poorest one ever,
O let us sound to him praise
  All in agreement.

The morning Star he is,
The worthy Sun of Righteousness,
  The Light of the world;
The true Intercessor,
Our secure refuge and our Tower,
And our good Saviour surely
  Is the precious Spouse.

Let all the world's inhabitants come
To praise God together,
  For free love;
When we were all, no less,
To destruction approaching,
To lead us from the city of woe
  A Deliverer was got.

Let the captive come from every land
To Jesus to get freedom,
  A Deliverer is he;
To deliver us he came
From the jaws of the captive pit,
Pay our debt he did,
  He satisfied God.
