Wrth y môr o risial gloyw
Clywch anthemau'r nefol gôr,
Alelwia, Alelwia,
Alelwia byth i'r Iôr:
Tyrfa na all neb ei rhifo,
Gogoneddus fel y sêr,
Safant yn eu gwisgoedd gwynion,
Gyda phalmwydd gwyrdd eu Nêr.
Patriarchiaid, glân prophwydi,
Efengylwyr yno sydd;
Saint, brenhinoedd a merthyri,
Apostolion, cewri'r fydd:
Duwiol wragedd a gwyryfon,
Gweddwon a fu yma'n drist;
Wele hwy ymhlith cantorion
Nef yn moli Iesu Grist.
Dyma'r rhai fu
dan eu cystudd,
Ac a gannwyd yn y gwaed,
Profwyd hwy mewn gorthrymderau,
Ond y Graig oedd dan eu traed;
Gwawdiwyd, rhwymwyd a llabyddiwyd,
Llifiwyd, lladdwyd hwy â'r cledd,
Ond yng Nghrist y gochfygasant
Nerthoedd uffern fawr a'r bedd.
Dan dy groes yr ymdeithiasant -
Baner buddugoliaeth yw -
Twysog mawr eu hiachawdwriaeth,
Cedwaist eu heneidiau'n fyw:
Gyda thi, yn llon hyd angau,
Goddefasant boen a chlwy',
A bu angau'n enedigaeth
I'r gogoniant iddynt hwy.
Mewn tangnefedd y teyrnasant,
Rhodiant yn yr heulwen glir,
Yfant ddyfroedd anfarwoldeb
Afon bywyd nefol dir:
Gwleddant byth ar hedd a chariad,
Gwelant bopeth yn ddi-len,
Yn natguddiad gwynfydedig
Tri yn Un yng ngolau'r nen.
Iesu, unig-genedledig
Fab y Tad,
ein Brawd a'n Duw,
Ynot ti mae'r saint mewn undeb
Dirgeledig yn cydfyw;
Tywallt arnom o'th gyflawnder,
Ennyn ynom nefol dân,
Byth i foli'r Drindod sanctaidd,
Dad a Mab ac Ysbryd Glân.

Tonau [8787D]: |
By the sea of shining crystal
Hear the anthems of the heavenly choir,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Hallelujah forever to the Lord:
A throng that no-one can number,
Glorious like the stars,
They stand in their white garments,
With the green palms of their Master.
Patriarch, holy prophets,
Evangelists are there;
Saints, kings and martyrs,
Apostles, the heroes of the faith:
Godly women and virgins,
Widows who here where sad;
See them amongst the singers
Of heaven praising Jesus Christ.
Here are those who were
under their affliction,
And who wer born in the blood,
Their were tested in oppressions,
But the Rock was under their feet;
They were scorned, bound and stoned,
They were sawn, killed with the sword,
But in Christ they overcame
The forces of great hell and the grave.
Under thy cross they had travelled -
A banner of victory it was -
The great Prince of their salvation,
Thou did keep their souls alive:
With thee, cheerfully as far as death,
They suffered pain and sickness,
And death was a birth
To the glory for them.
In tranquility they reign,
They walk in the clear sunshine,
They drink the waters of immortality
Of the river of life of heavenly land:
They feast forever on peace and love,
They see everything unveiled,
In the blessed revelation of
Three in One in the light of heaven.
Jesus, the only-begotten
Son of the Father,
our Brother and our God,
In thee are the saints in a mysterious
Unity living together
Pour upon us from thy fullness,
Kindle in us heavenly fire,
Forever to praise the sacred Trinity,
Father and Son and Holy Spirit.

Hark! the sound of holy voices,
Chanting at the crystal sea,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Lord, to thee.
Multitude, which none can number,
Like the stars, in glory stand
Clothed in white apparel, holding
Palms of victory in their hands.
Patriarch, and holy prophet,
Who prepared the way of Christ,
King, apostle, saint, confessor,
Martyr and evangelist;
Saintly maiden, godly matron,
Widows who have watched to prayer,
Joined in holy concert, singing
To the lord of all, are there.
They have come
from tribulation,
And have washed their robes in blood,
Washed them in the blood of Jesus;
Tried they were, and firm they stood;
Mocked, imprisoned, stoned, tormented,
Sawn asunder, slain with sword;
They have conquered death and Satan
By the might of Christ the lord.
Marching with thy cross their banner,
They have triumphed, following
Thee, the Captain of salvation,
Thee, their Saviour and their king;
Gladly, lord, with thee they suffered;
Gladly, lord, with thee they died;
And by death to life immortal
They were born and glorified.
Now they reign in heav'nly glory,
Now they walk in golden light,
Now they drink, as from a river,
Holy bliss and infinite;
Love and peace they taste forever,
And all truth and knowledge see
In the beatific vision
Of the blessèd Trinity.
God of God, the One-begotten,
They have come
from tribulation,
In whose body joined together
All the saints forever dwell;
Pour upon us of thy fullness
That we may forevermore
God the Father, God the Son, and
God the Holy Ghost adore.
