Weiniaid Seion pam y cwynwch?

(Dyrchafiad Crist)
Weiniaid Seion, pam y cwynwch?
  Deuwch, a chydseiniwch gân;
Crist eich Brenin, trwy farwolaeth,
  Gafodd fuddugoliaeth lân:
Y mae angeu wedi methu
  Cadw Iesu yn y bedd;
Adgyfododd mewn prydferthwch,
  Gyda heddwch yn Ei wedd.

Gristion gwan! paham yr ofni?
  Edrych tua'r nefol wlad;
Yno mae dy Frawd trugarog
  Yn Eiriolwr gyda'r Tad:
Trwyddo cei,
    er maint dy feiau,
  Ryddid a gollyngdod llawn;
Digon iddo ddadleu drosot
  Haeddiant Ei anfeidrol Iawn.

Tôn [8787D]: Buddugoliaeth (D Emlyn Evans 1843-1913)

(The Exaltation of Christ)
Servants of Zion, why do ye complain?
  Come ye, and sound together a song;
Christ your King, through death,
  Got a holy victory;
Death has failed
  To keep Jesus in his grave;
He rose again in beauty,
  With peace in his countenance.

Weak Christian, why dost thou fear?
  Look towards the heavenly land;
There is thy merciful Brother
  An intercessor with thy Father:
Through him thou mayst have,
    despite the vastness of thy faults,
  Freedom and full release;
Sufficient for him to plead for thee
  The merit of his immeasurable Atonement.
tr. 2025 Richard B Gillion
