Uwch pob rhyw gariad îs y nef
Yw cariad pur fy Nuw;
Anfeidrol foroedd dyfnion maith,
Heb fesur arno, yw.
Dechreuodd draw cyn
creu y byd,
Fe bery byth yn mlaen;
Heb un cyfnewid, ac heb drai,
Pan elo'r byd yn dân.
O! deuwch, gwelwch, chwiliwch ef,
Anfeidrol gariad mawr,
Ag sydd yn maddeu miloedd myrdd
O feiau yn yr awr.
Yn para'r un dros fyth heb drai,
P'odd bynag troa'r byd;
A phe cymysgai tir a môr,
Yr un yw'm Duw o hyd.
Rhyw gariad a ffyddlondeb maith,
A thrugareddau'n un,
Ydyw yr enwau a garodd Ef
I roddi arno ei hun.
Tonau [MC 8686]:
gwelir: |
Above every kind of love under heaven
Is the pure love of my God;
Vast, deep, immeasurable seas,
Without measure on it, it is.
It began long before
the creating of the world,
It will continue forever on;
Without one change, and without ebbing,
When the world goes to fire.
O come, see, seek him,
Great, immeasurable love,
Which forgives thousands of myriads
Of faults now.
Enduring the same for ever without ebbing,
However the world turns;
And were the land and sea to mix
The same would be my God always.
Some love and great faithfulness,
And mercies the same,
Are the names which He loved
To put upon himself.
