Ti sy'n ymdrochi mewn bydolder

(Salm III - Rhybudd i'r dyn bydol)
Ti sy'n ymdrochi mewn bydolder,
  Yn ffiaidd bryfyn dan bob rhith;
Gad ymdommenu dan dy falchder,
  A'i holl fudreddau rif y gwlith;
Na thrig yn hwy mewn anystyriaeth,
  Yn rhyfyg dy
      feddyliau ffol;
O ffyrdd truennus colledigaeth,
  Rho glust i'r llais
      a'th eilw yn ol.

Cais iawn ystyried beth yw diwedd,
  Y cwbl y sydd yn hyn o fyd;
Ei gyfoeth ef a'i niwlog fawredd,
  Sy'n amryfysedd mawr i gyd:
Yr unig olud sy'n ddiddarfod,
  Y sy'n dragywydd ei barhad,
Yw'r hyn sy'n arwain y gydwybod
  At 'wyllys mawr y cyfiawn Dad.

Pob gwaith trugaredd, pob cyfiawnder,n
  Pob ymddwyn isel enaid llon,
Pob ufuddhad i Dduw'r uchelder,
  A gânt dderbyniad ger ei fron:
Yn ffydd y rhain cais ymfucheddu,
  Yng ngwyllys Brenin mawr y nef;
Cai yn y gwynfyd
    mawr anneddu,
  Cai, yn dragywydd gydâg ef.

(Psalm 3 - Warning to the worldly man)
Thou who art wallowing in worldliness,
  A detestable worm under every hypocrisy;
Let yourself be overwhelmed by your pride,
  And all its filth as numerous as the dew;
Dwell no longer in indifference,
  In the presumption of your
      foolish thoughts;
From the wretched ways of loss,
  Give ear to the voice
      that calls thee back.

Seek well to consider what is the end,
  Of all that is this world;
Its riches and its misty grandeur,
  Which is all a great error:
The only wealth that is undying,
  Whose endurance is eternal,
Is that which leads the conscience
  To the great ill of the righteous Father.

Every work of mercy, every righteousness,
  Every lowly behaviour of a cheerful soul,
Every obedience to the God of the height,
  Shall get acceptance before him:
In faith these seek to conduct themselves,
  In the will of the great King of heaven;
They shall get in the great
    blessedness to reside,
  They shall get it, in eternity with him.
