Rho'wn hyder ein gobaith
mewn lanwaith i lawr,
Ar gariad y Drindod
mewn undod yn awr;
Ni chollir un enaid
o'i ddeiliaid, medd ef,
Cânt orphwys mewn urddas
yn ninas y nef.
Crist ydyw blaguryn
a gwreiddyn pob gras,
Fe lwyddodd yn erbyn
y gelyn a'i gas;
Un aberth anfeidrol,
digonol a gaed,
I enaid gresynus,
on'd gweddus yw'r gwaed?
Rhyfeddwn ei boenau,
a'i loesau, hael Ior!
Creawdwr y dyfnder
a meithder y môr;
Y ddaear a'r nefoedd,
a'u lluoedd yn llon,
Ei ben a goronwyd
pan friwiwyd ei fron.
Yr Iesu grasusal
yn farwol a fu,
Fe dalodd yn ffyddlon
ddyledion ei lu;
Fe ddyg ein camweddau
a'n beiau drwy boen,
Fe gafwyd tangnefedd
trwy rinwedd yr oen.
Fe yfodd o'r afon
oen tirion y Tad,
A'i ben a ddyrchafodd
pan brofodd ein brad;
Fe ddygodd in' fywyd
tra hyfryd trwy hedd,
Gorchfygodd nerth angau
un boreu a'r bedd.
Y cadarn gyfryngwr,
eiriolwr hael yw,
Sy'n sefyll yn ffyddlon
rhwng dynion a Duw,
Trwy rinwedd ei aberth,
yn brydferth eu braint,
Daeth heddwch tragwyddol,
cysurol i'r saint.
Trwy'i allu tragwyddol
anfeidrol efe,
Daw'r saint i gyrhaeddyd
newyddfyd y ne';
O'r dyrys anialwch
i heddwch cyn hir,
Fe ddwg yr oen tirion
ei weision yn wir.

[Mesur: 11.11.11.11] |
Let us put the confidence of our hope
in clean work down,
On the love of the Trinity
in unity now;
Not one soul is to be lost
of his tenants, he says,
They will get to rest in dignity
in the city of heaven.
Christ is the shoot
and root of every grace,
He succeeded against
the enemy and his hatred;
One infinite sacrifice,
sufficient was had,
For a miserable soul,
is not the blood worthy?
Let us wonder at his pains,
and his agonies, generous Lord!
The Creator of the depth
and breadth of the sea;
The earth and the heavens,
and their hosts cheerfully,
His head was crowned
when his breast was wounded.
The gracious Jesus
who was mortal,
He paid faithfully
the debts of his host;
He bore our transgressions
and our faults through pain,
Peace was got
through the merit of the lamb.
The gentle lamb of the Father
drank from the river,
And his head he raised
when he experienced our treachery;
He brought us life
so delightful through peace,
He overcame the strength of death
one morning, and the grave.
The firm mediator,
a generous intercessor he is,
Who is standing faithfully
between man and God,
Through the virtue of his sacrifice,
beautiful their privilege,
Eternal peace came,
comforting to the saints.
Through his eternal,
infinite power,
The saints shall come to reach
the new world of heaven;
From the troublesome desert
to peace before long,
The gentle lamb will lead
his servants truly.
