'Rym yn dy erfyn, Arglwydd mawr,
Disgyn o entrych nef i lawr,
Hyd ysgol faith
JEHOFAH'n Ddyn,
'Roi bendith Jacob i bob un.
Fel ŵyn yn wirion gwna ni gyd,
Ym mhlith y bleiddiaid sy'n y byd;
Ac fel y seirph yn gyfrwys gall,
I wel'd a dadrys
rhwydau'r fall.
D'rostynger Satan fawr ei nerth,
Fel mellten glau
o'r nefoedd serth,
I lawr o'n blaen, trwy d'allu cry',
Fel cofiom byth am danat Ti.
Gad ini ddod i'r mynydd fry,
I'r cwmwl goleu atat ti,
Fel y dysgleirio'n gwyneb pryd,
Nes sỳnu Israel oll i gyd.
Gwna ni fel halen, trwy dy ras,
Yn wyn, yn beraidd iawn ei flas;
Yn foddion yn dy law o hyd
I dynu'r adflas sy ar y byd.
Gwêl ni yn myn'd i maes i blith,
Gelynion cryfion rif y gwlith;
O rho addewid i ni 'gyd
Y byddi o'n plaid
hyd ddiwedd byd.
Rho'r cleddyf dysglaer yn ein llaw
Nertha ni ei chwareu yma thraw,
A rhoddi i'n gelynion glwy',
Fel ag nas saf un gelyn mwy.
Pâr fod d'ogoniant pur dilyth
Yn nôd a diben ini byth;
Dy fywyd hardd, a'th eiriau gwir,
Yn wastad ini'n rheol bur.
Doed gogledd, de, a dwyrain bell,
I glywed y newyddion gwell;
Aed sŵn d'efengyl,
Iesu, maes
Yn gylch oddeutu'r ddaear lâs.
O dod i ben, hwnw yw'r dydd,
Nid goleu ac nid tywyll fydd;
Nid dydd, nid nos, (a Duw a'i gŵyr)
Pan dardd goleuni yn yr hwyr.
Bywyd y meirw, tyr'd i'n plith,
A thrwy dy Ysbryd arnom chwyth;
Anadla'n rymus ar y glyn,
Fel byddo byw yr esgyrn hyn. [JH]

Tonaun [MH 8888]:
gwelir: |
We are beseeching thee, great Lord,
Descend from the vault of heaven down,
Along the extensive ladder
of JEHOVAH as Man,
Give the blessing of Jacob to every one.
Like sheep truly make us all,
Amongst the wolves which are in the world;
And like the serpents subtle, wise,
To see and undo
the bonds of the pestilence.
Brought low is Satan of great strength,
Like swift lightning
from the heavenly height,
Down before us, through thy strong power,
Thus may we forever remember thee.
Let us come to the mountain above,
To the cloud of light unto thee,
That the face of our countenance shine,
Until surprising all Israel altogether.
Make us like salt, through thy grace,
White, very sweet its taste;
Medicine in thy hand always
To the distaste which is on the world.
See us going out amongst
Strong enemies as numerous as the dew,
O grant a promise to us all
That thou wilt be on our side
until the end of the world.
Put the shining sword in our hand,
Strengthen us to ply it here and there,
And to give our enemies a wound,
That no enemy may stand any more.
Cause thy pure, unfailing glory to be
An aim and purpose in us forever;
Thy beautiful life, and thy true words,
Constantly in us as a pure rule.
May north, south and far east come,
To hear the better news;
May the sound of the gospel,
Jesus, go out
As a circle around the blue-green earth.
O come to pass, this is the day,
Not light and not darkness shall be;
Not day, not night, (and God knows it)
When light springs forth in the evening.
Life of the dead, come amongst us,
And through thy Spirit upon us blow;
Breathe forcefully upon the vale,
That these bones may live.
