'Rwy'n teimlo 'mod yn llesg a gwan,
Heb allu dringo fawr i'r lan:
Ond gair fy Nuw
a nertha'm ffydd,
Trwy ddweyd caf nerth
yn ol y dydd.
Er bod gelynion cedyrn iawn,
Yn curo'n dost o fore i nawn;
Credadyn llesg, gorchfygol fydd,
Trwy dderbyn nerth
yn ol y dydd.
'Rwyf weithiau'n ofni
pwysau'r groes,
A chyfyngderau llym fy oes;
Ond beth yw'r
achos ofni sydd,
Tra paro nerth
yn ol y dydd?
Yr angeu du yn fuan ddaw,
Caf deimlo pwys
ei farwol law;
Ond o'i afaelion d'of yn rhydd,
Caf nerth pryd hyn
yn ol y dydd.

Tôn [MH 8888]: |
I am feeling that I am feeble and weak,
Without much power to climb up:
But the word of my God
shall strengthen my faith,
Through saying I shall get strength
according to the day.
Although my enemies are very strong,
Beating sorely from morning until evening;
A weak believer, an overcomer shall be,
Through receiving strength
according to the day.
I am sometimes fearing
the weight of the cross,
And the sharp straits of my age;
But what is the cause
of the fear there is,
While strength endures
according to the day?
The black death shall soon come,
When I shall get to feel the weight
of its deathly hand;
But from its grips I shall come free,
I shall get strength at that time
according to the day.
