Rhyfeddu'r wyf na welai'r byd

Rhyfeddu'r wyf na welai'r byd
Farwolaeth Crist,
    a'i aberth drud,
  A'i adgyfodiad, ger ein bron,
  Trwy'r ordinhad sancteiddiol hon.

Mae'n weddus i ni gofio 'nawr
Am ddarostyngiad Iesu mawr;
  Aeth yr Iorddonen dros ei wedd
  Pan gladdwyd Ef mewn dyfrllyd fedd.

Nes treulio oesoedd maith y byd,
A'r holl ddefnyddiau doddi 'nghyd,
  Y rheol hon a saif yr un,
  Diysgog yw fel Duw ei hun.

I wonder that the world would not see
The death of Christ,
    and his costly sacrifice,
  And his resurrection, right before us
  Through this sacred ordinance.

It is fitting for us to remember now
The humbling of of great Jesus;
  The Jordan went over his countenance
  When he was buried in a watery grave.

Until the world's vast ages wear out,
And the elements melt altogether,
  This rule shall stand the same,
  Unshakeable it is like God himself.
