Rhyfeddol ddoeth anfarwol Dduw

(Ymgnawdoliad y Gwir)
Rhyfeddol ddoeth, anfarwol Dduw,
  Gwir ydyw ein Gwaredwr,
Un anian yw,
    un Duw a'i Dad,
  Heb raniad yw'n da Brynwr.

Yr Iesu hael a'i ras ei Hun
  Roes natur dyn am dano;
Daeth nifer lan o'r nef fawr lys,
  I weddus weini iddo.

Duw mawr a dyn a wnaed yn un,
  Trwy rin yr ymgnawdoliad -
'R ddwy natur beru'n ddiwahan
  Y'mherson glān y Ceidwad.
John Evans (Ioan Tachwedd) 1789-1856

[Mesur: MS 8787]

(The Incarnation of the Truth)
Wonderfully wise, immortal God,
  True is our Deliverer,
Of one nature he is,
    one God with his Father,
  Without division is our good Redeemer.

The generous Jesus with his own grace
  Put the nature of man around himself;
A number came up from heaven's great court,
  Worthily to serve him.

Great God and man were made one,
  Through the merit of the incarnation -
The two natures persist inseparable
  In the holy person of the Saviour.
