a'r Drugareddfa)
Pur galon y Messia
yw'r Drugareddfa a'r Arch,
Lle cadd pob iod o'r Gyfraith
i'r eithaf berffaith barch;
Pan oedd ein Brawd caredig
tan ei hoeliedig loes,
Y gyfraith bur oedd ynddo
yn gryno ar y groes.
Pa ham yr ofaf Sina,
mae hòno'n gyfa i gyd
Yn nghalon ein Iachawdwr,
sef Barnwr mawr y byd;
Ac yno mae'n preswylio,
heb ei llychwino chwaith,
Yn foddlon iawn i'r Iesu
tynu i ben ein taith.
'Roedd Arch a luniodd Moses
un weddus iddi'n wir,
A'r Drugareddfa i'w chuddio,
hi fu tan hòno'n hir;
Ond gwell oedd calon Iesu
i'w diogelu heb goll,
A'i chadw'n fwy parchedig
na'r llechau o gerrig oll.
Mewn arch a luniodd Moses
bu'r ddeddf yn drefus dro,
Ond collwyd hon 'rol hyny
yn mysg rhyw deulu, do;
Ond byth ni chyll ond hyny,
tra byddo Iesu byw,
Ni ddygir mae'n ddiogel,
tu mewn i Deml Duw.

and the Mercy Seat)
The pure heart of the Messiah
is the Mercy Seat and the Ark,
Where every jot of the Law got
to the utmost perfect respect;
When our loving Brother was
under his nailed anguish,
The pure law was in him
summed up on the cross.
Why shall I fear Sinai,
that is all the entirety
In the heart of our Saviour,
that is the great Judge of the world;
And there it is residing,
without being sullied either,
Very satisfied for Jesus
to bring us to our destination.
The Ark, which Moses designed, was
a suitable one for it truly,
And the Mercy Seat to cover it,
it was long before this;
But better was the heart of Jesus
to keep it safe without loss,
And to keep it more respected
than all the slabs of stone.
In an ark which Moses designed
the law was for a tidy time,
But this was lost after this
in the midst of some family, it was;
But never will be lost but this,
while ever Jesus lives,
Not to be taken it is safe,
within the Temple of God.
