O Iesu mwyn, ni allwn ni,
Yn wastad ryngu bodd i ti;
Ein mynych ofnau ar y daith
Lesgâ ein hysbryd yn dy waith.
Dy Efengylwr gynt a droes
Yn ôl o'r daith ym more oes;
Drachefn y dug dy arfaeth ef
I rodio llwybrau glân y nef.
Cyfeiria'n traed, cryfha ein ffydd,
I'th ddilyn di o ddydd i ddydd;
Tydi yw'r Ffordd, a digon yw
I'n tywys i drigfannau Duw.
Er gwyro weithiau ar y daith,
A syrthio arni lawer gwaith,
Dychwelir ni
ond profi blas
Dy gariad di a
nerth dy ras.
Rhyw ddydd ein gyrfa ddaw i ben,
A'r nos a ffy
dan loywach nen;
Goffwysfa ddaw i'r neb a ŵyr
Am y goleuni yn yr hwyr.

Tonau [MH 8888]: |
O gentle Jesus, we cannot,
Constantly please thee;
Our frequent fears on the journey
Weaken our spirit in the work.
Thy Evangelist once turned
Back from the journey in his early days;
Again thy purpose brought him back
To walk the holy paths of heaven.
Direct our feet, strengthen our faith,
To follow thee from day to day;
Thou art our Way, and sufficient it is
To lead us to the dwellings of God.
Although swerving sometimes on the journey,
And falling on it many a time,
We are brought back
only to experience a taste
Of thy love and the
strength of thy grace.
Some day our course shall come to an end,
And the night shall flee
under a brighter sky;
Rest shall come to anyone who knows
About the light in the evening.
