    Iachawdwr mawr y byd;

    I'r claf yn hedd di-drai,
  A theimlo'r cariad pur

Try'r chwerw'n felys gyda Thi,

  Peryglon ar bob law
    Sy'n peri braw i'r gwan,
  Nes ofni lawer dydd
    Mae distryw fydd ei ran;
Ond nerth wrth raid sydd ynot Ti,
O! Iesu, aros gyda ni.

  O stay here now
    Great Saviour of the world;
  Thy living presence,
    Our hope is always;
It is dark night where Thou art not,
O Jesus, stay with us!

  Looking upon thy countenance is
    To the sick an unebbing peace,
  And to feel the pure love
    Making every wound less;
The bitter turns to sweet with Thee,
O Jesus, stay with us!

  Perils on every hand
    Are causing terror to the weak,
  Until fearing many a day
    That destruction shall be their lot;
But there is strength in need in Thee,
O Jesus, stay with us!
