Ogoneddus Graig yr Oesoedd
Sylfaen pob
cadernid yw;
Nid yw creigiau cryfaf natur
Ddim yn ymyl Craig fy Nuw;
Byth nid ofnaf
Ond ei chael o dan fy nghraed.
Pan oedd mellt y ddeddf yn gwibio
A'i tharanau'n rhuo'i llid,
Dianc wneuthum am fy mywyd,
Ac i'r Graig y ffois mewn pryd;
Cefais noddfa
Yn ei holltau dwyfol hi.
Pryd y tawdd elfennau natur,
Ac y dua'r haul uwch ben,
Pryd y cŵymp yr holl blanedau
Ac y gwrida'r lleuad wen,
Craig yr Oesoedd
Saif yn gadarn ddydd y farn.
Hon yw'r Graig y canaf iddi
Pan gaf delyn aur y nen,
Gorfoleddaf ar yr orsedd,
Byth ni ddaw fy nghân i ben;
Craig yr Oesoedd,
Haleliwia byth am hon!

The glorious Rock of the Ages
The foundation stone of all
stability it is;
The strongest rocks of nature are
Nothing beside the Rock of my God;
Never shall I fear
If only I have it under my feet.
When the lightning of the law was flashing
And its thunders roaring its wrath,
Escape I did for my life,
And to the Rock I fled in time;
I got refuge
In its divine clefts.
When the elements of nature melt,
And the sun blackens overhead,
When all the planets fall
And the white moon reddens,
The Rock of the Ages
Shall stand firm on the day of judgment.
This is the Rock to which I shall sing
When I get the golden harp of the sky,
I shall be jubilant on the throne,
Never shall my song come to an end;
The Rock of the Ages,
Hallelujah for this!
