O to feel the love of Jesus
  Drawing us into his work,
A strong love to keep his words
  Until we reach our journey's end;
A love to cast out fears,
  Steadfast evils from it to flee
So that no intense darkness can
  Continue to turn us back.

Kindle in us a zealous flame
  Of a kind of heavenly fire
So that we may say without hesitation -
  Thou knowest everything, pure Lord;
Thou knowest that we love thee,
  O to be able to love thee more,
Love like the inhabitants of blessedness,
  Love delightfully like they.
