yn ymgysuro gyda golwg ar yr addewidion.) O Sïon! pa'm yr ofni, Nag yr achwyni chwaith? Ceir gweled yn mhob tywydd, Wir gynydd ar y gwaith; Ac enw Iesu hawddgar, Ar led y ddaiar lawr; Saif gyda'i achos hefyd, Hyd ddiwedd byd bob awr. Ei ddyfnion ragluniaethau, Bob oes er dechreu'r byd, Ynt gam wrth gam yn gymwys, A'i eglwys ef o hyd, Nas dichon cnawd llygredig, O wael wyredig ryw, Gan faint ei d'w'llwch diball, Wir ddeall fawr am Dduw. Ei ffyrdd ynt anchwiliadwy, Ofnadwy, gyfiawn Ior, A'i daith uwchlaw'r wybrenau, A manau dwfn y môr; Mae'r cedyrn awdurdodau, Drwy'r ymrysonau sydd, Fel olwyn fa'i mewn olwyn, Yn dirwyn at y dydd. Mae angrist a'i alluoedd, Drwy leoedd daiar lawr, Mahomet, Pab, a'r Pagan, Yn min eu hoedran mawr; Daw'r Iuddew o'i gamsyniaeth, A'i drom elyniaeth drist, Adwneir y byd o newydd, Heb ddim ond crefydd Crist. Dy ddirfawr ddoeth amcanion, Yn ëon oll a wnair, I wirio'r addewidion, Sydd gyson yn y gair; Yn mhob rhyw oes aeth heibio, A'r oesoedd eto ddaw, Mae pethau mawr dy deyrnas, Diluddias, yn dy law. Cyflawnir rhagfwriadau, A doeth arfaethau Duw, Yn nhrefn ei ras achubol, Anedifeiriol yw, Pan ddygir pob cysylltiad, A'r bwriad mawr i ben, Bydd diben terfynadwy Yn Iesu mwy, Amen.Robert Williams (Robert ap Gwilym Ddu) 1766-1850 [Mesur: 7676D] |
taking comfort with a look upon the promises. O Zion, why dost thou fear, Or complain either? There is to be seen in all weather, True growth upon the work; And the name of beautiful Jesus, Widespread over the earth below; It shall stand with his cause also, Until the end of the world every hour. His deep providences, Every age since the world's beginning, Take step by step exactly, His church always, Nor can the corrupt flesh, Of a poor, wayward sort, With the extent of its constant darkness, Truly understand much about God. His ways are unsearchable, A terrible, righteous Lord, And his travel above the skies, And the deep places of the sea; The firm authorities are, Through the disputes that there be, Like a wheel within a wheel, Winding towards the day. The antichrist and his powers, Throughout the places of earth below, Muhammad, Pope, and the Pagan, At the edge of their great age; The Jew shall come from his error, And his heavy, sad enmity, The world shall be remade anew, With nothing but the religion of Christ. Thy enormously wise purposes, Shall boldly all be performed, To fulfil the promises, That are constant in the word; In every kind of age that has gone past, And the ages yet coming, The great things of thy kingdom, Are inexhaustible in thy hand. To be fulfilled are the fore-ordinations, And wise purposes of God, In the plan of his saving grace, Are irrevocable, When every connection, and The intention are brought to completion, The final goal shall be In Jesus evermore, Amen.tr. 2025 Richard B Gillion |
