O Sanctaidd Ddiddanydd,
clyw weddi rhai gwan,
Rho inni d'oleuni,
a'th gwmni 'mhob man;
Mewn blinder a thrallod
na wrthod ein llef,-
Rho gysgod dy aden,
fwyn G'lomen o'r nef.
Dwyn Iesu'n nes atom
bob dydd fynni di,
Gwneud Iesu'n fwy golau,
mwy annwyl i ni;
Daw weithiau amheuon
wna'n calon yn drist -
O, arwain ein meddwl
drwy'r cwmwl at Grist!
Rhy fynych yw'r beiau
sydd yn dy dristau,
Ond paid di a'n gadael
yng ngafael ein bai:
Aed fflam dy sancteiddrwydd
drwy'n henaid yn dan -
Mawr elw yw'r dolur
wna'r galon yn lan!
O Sanctaidd Ddiddanydd,
bydd drosom o hyd;
Cysura, rhybuddia,
glanha ni i gyd;
Drwy oriau ein diwrnod,
rho nabod dy wedd,
Gad inni wrth huno,
gael huno'n dy hedd.
huno, gael huno :: marw, gael marw'n

O Sacred Comforter,
hear the prayer of weak ones,
Give us thy light
and thy company in every place;
In affliction and trouble
do not refuse our cry, -
Give the shadow of thy wing,
gentle Dove from heaven.
Bring Jesus nearer to us
every day thou wilt,
Make Jesus more bright,
more dear to us;
Sometimes doubts will come
that make our heart sad -
O, guide our thought
through the cloud to Christ!
Too frequent are the faults
that sadden thee,
But do thou not leave us
in the grip our our fault:
Let the flame of thy sanctification go
through our soul as fire -
Great profit is the sadness
that makes the heart holy!
O Sacred Comforter,
be on our side always;
Comfort, warn,
cleanse us all;
Through the hours of our day,
grant us to know thy countenance,
Let us while sleeping,
get to sleep in thy peace.
sleeping, get to sleep :: dying, get to die tr. 2024 Richard B Gillion |
