O doed y ddedwydd awr

O doed y ddedwydd awr,
  Pan etyb Duw ein llef,
A danfon mewn dylanwad mawr
  Ei Ysbyrd Glân o'r nef!

Er mynych wrando'r gair,
  Ac uno yn y gân,
Pa beth a wnawn heb oleu claer
  A grym yr Ysbyrd Glân?

O! tyrd  mewn dwyfol ddawn,
  Garedig Ysbryd Glân;
Gad i ni weld y tŷ yn llawn,
  A chalon pawb ar dân!

O let the happy hour come,
  When God answers our cry!
And sends in great influence
  His Holy Spirit from heaven!

Although often hearing the word,
  And joining in the song,
What shall we do without the clear light
  And force of the Holy Spirit?

O come in divine ability,
  Loving Holy Spirit!
Let us see the house full,
  And every heart on fire!

O for the happy hour
  When God will hear our cry,
And send, with a reviving power,
  His Spirit from on high.

We meet, we sing, we pray,
  We listen to the word,
In vain we see no cheering ray,
  No cheering voice is heard.

Come, with Thy power divine,
  Spirit of life and love;
Then shall our people all be Thine,
  Our church like that above.
