O disgyn Ysbryd Glân

(Yr Ysbryd Glân)
O disgyn Ysbryd Glân,
  O'r nefoedd wen i lawr
I gynnau'r dwyfol dân
  Yn ein calonnau nawr.

Y ddawn a roddaist ti
  I'th Eglwys pan oedd wan
A wnaeth ei gweiniaid hi
  Yn wrol ar dy ran.

O gael tafodau tân
  A phrofi'r nerthol wynt,
Anturiwn ninnau ‘mlaen
  Fel dy ddisgyblion gynt.

O'th garu tra bôm byw
  A rhodio gyda thi,
Aroglau meysydd Duw
  Fydd ar ein gwisgoedd ni.

Tydi all ein glanhau
  O'n beiau, fawr a mân;
Gad inni fyth fwynhau
  Dy ddoniau, Ysbryd Glân.

Tôn [6666]: Quam Dilecta (H L Jenner 1820-98)

(The Holy Spirit)
O descend, Holy Spirit,
  From bright heaven down
To ignite the divine fire
  In our hearts now.

The gift thou gavest
To thy Church when it was weak
Has made her servants
  Brave in thy cause.

O to have tongues of fire
And to experience the strong wind,
Let us too venture forward
  Like thy disciples of old.

From thy love while ever we live
  And walk with thee,
Scents of the fields of God
  Shall be on our garments.

Thou canst cleanse us
  From our sins, great and small;
Let us forever enjoy
  Thy gifts, Holy Spirit.
