O Arglwydd manwl chwiliaist fi

O Arglwydd, manwl chwiliaist fi,
  Da y'm hadweini hefyd;
Eistediad, codiad, gwyddost hyn,
  A'm meddwl cyn ei dd'wedyd.

Yr ywt yn nghylch fy lloches i,
  A'm ffyrdd i ti'n hysbys;
Nid oes air nas gwyddost ei fod
  Ar flaen fy nghafod ofnus.

Nid dim tywyllach nos i ti
  Nag yw goleuni haf-dddydd;
Y ddau i ti maent yr un dull,
  Y tywyll a'r goleu-ddydd.

O Lord, minutely thou hast sought me,
  Well thou dost know me also;
Sitting, rising, thou knowest these,
  And my thought before it is spoken.

Thou art around my shelter,
  And my ways to thee evident;
There is no word thou dost not know to be
  On the tip of my fearful tongue.

The darkness of night is nothing at all
  To thee but the light of a summer day;
The two to thee are just the same,
  The darkness and the day-light.
