Molwn Di, ein Harglwdd tyner,
Am Sant Pedr, d'apostol gwiw;
Ei fawr wendid a'i fawr gryfder
Rhybydd ac esiampl yw;
Dysgu wnelom
Wersi'i fuchedd
drwy ein hoes.
Dy gyffesu'n gyhoedd, eon,
Fel efe a wnelom ni -
Dweud mewn ffydd, o eigion calon,
Mai y Crist, Mab Duw wyt Ti,
Fel y byddo
Iti'n harddel ddydd a ddaw.
Ti roist iddo enw newydd,
Addas i ymladdwr cry';
Rhoist i ninnau enw bedydd
Pan dderbyniwyd ni i'th Dŷ;
Ymladd wnelom
Dan dy faner drwy ein hoes.
Teirgwaith Ti genhedaist iddo
Borthi'r defaid, porthi'r ŵyn;
Yntau'n ddyfol, wrol, effro,
Fu'n eu porthi er dy fwyn.
Dyro eto
Ffyddlon wŷr i'n porthi ni.
Yn dy nerth, hyd farw, glynodd
Wrth y genadwri gu,
Drosti'i waed o' fodd dywalltodd -
Marw'r merthyr iddo fu;
Nertha ninnau
I roi'n bywyd oll i Ti.

Tôn [878747]: Alleluia Dulce Carmen / Benediction |
We praise Thee, our tender Lord,
For Saint Peter, thy worthy apostle;
His great weakness and his great strength
A warning and an example are;
That we learn
The lessons of his conduct
throughout our life.
Confessing Thee publicly, fearlessly,
Like he that we do -
Saying in faith, from depths of heart,
That the Christ, the Son of God art Thou,
That thou mayest
Own us on the coming day.
Thou gavest him a new name,
Appropriate for a strong fighter;
Thou gavest to us too a baptismal name
When we were received into thy House;
That we may fight
Under thy banner throughout our life.
Three times Thou commissioned him
To feed the sheep, to feed the lambs;
He devoted, brave, alert,
Fed them for thy sake.
May there come again
Faithful men to feed us.
In thy strength, unto death, he stuck
To the dear mission,
For thee his blood voluntarily he shed -
The death of a martyr he had;
Strengthen us too
To give all our life to Thee.
