Mae rhyfeddodau mawr diri'

Mae rhyfeddodau mawr diri'
Yn marw Iesu ar Galfari;
  Cyfiawnder Duw a'i gariad llawn
  A gydlewyrchant yn yr Iawn.

Mae gwerthfawrogrwydd enaid dyn,
A hawliau'r orsedd fawr ei hun,
  A haeddiant Crist
      a'i angeu loes,
  Yn ymddysgleirio yn y groes.

Bydd rhyfeddodau'r groes ryw bryd
Yn llyncu'r rhyfeddodau i gyd;
  Dirgelwch mawr ei angeu Ef
  Yw prif ryfeddod
      nef y nef.

There are great unnumbered wonders
In the death of Jesus on Calvary;
  God's righteousness and his full love
  Reflecting together with the Ransom.

The appreciation of the soul of man,
And the claims of the great throne itself,
  And the merit of Christ
      and his throes of death,
  Shining in the cross.

The wonders of the cross shall some time
Swallow all the wonders;
  The great secret of His death
  Is the chief wonder of
      the heaven of heaven.
