Mae ffordd gyfreithlon at y Tad

(Y Ffordd at y Tad)
Mae ffordd gyfreithlon at y Tad
  I bechaduriaid trist;
A gwenu mae trugaredd râd
  Ar bawb sy'n ffoi at Grist.

Fe dalodd Iesu berffaith Iawn
  Ar fynydd Calfari;
Mae cymod
    a maddeuant llawn
  Yn ngwaed yr Oen i ni.

Fe ddaeth ein Meichiau mawr yn rhydd,
  Clodforwn Frenhin hedd;
Cyfododd Ef y trydydd dydd
  Yn fyw i'r làn o'r bedd.

Esgynodd trosom at y Tad,
  Ac eiriol yw ei waith;
Cyn hir fe'n dwg
    o'r anial wlad
  Yn iach i ben ein taith.

Tôn [MC 8686]: Dale (Isaac Phillips, Dale.)

(The Way to the Father)
There is a lawful way to the Father
  For sad sinners;
And smiling is free mercy
  Upon all who are fleeing to Christ.

Jesus paid a perfect Satisfaction
  On the mountain of Calvary;
There is reconciliation
    and full forgiveness
  In the blood of the Lamb for us.

Our great Surety came free,
  Let us Extol the King of peace;
He arose on the third day
  Alive up from the grave.

He ascended for us to the Father,
  And interceding is his work;
Before long he will lead us
    from the desert land
  Whole to our journey's end.
