Mae beiau duon dyn,
A'i holl drueni ef,
Fel bryniau cribog mawr,
A'u penau c'uwch â'r nef;
Ond dyfnder môr trugaredd Duw
A guddia'r bai
er cymmaint yw.
O! iachawdwriaeth râd,
Holl olud mawr y byd,
'Does mesur ar ei led,
Na therfyn ar ei hyd;
Mae'n uwch yn mhell nâ'r nef ei hun
A dyfnach nâ thrueni dyn.
ar ei led :: ar ei lled
Tonau [666688]: |
The black faults of man, and
All his miseries are,
Like great crested hills,
With their heads as high as heaven;
But the depth of the sea of God's mercy
Shall cover the fault
despite how great it is.
O free salvation!
All the wealth of the world,
There is no measure to its breadth,
Nor boundary to its length;
It is far higher than heaven itself
And deeper than the misery of man.
