Mae arnaf eisiau d'wedd O Iesu mawr

Mae arnaf eisiau d'wedd,
      O! Iesu mawr,
Dy wedd a ddyry hedd
      i mi bob awr,

  O! Iesu, mae dy eisiau,
  Ar f'enaid yn ei ofnau,
  Bendithia fi, fy Meichiau,
    A gwrando 'nghri.

Mae arnaf eisiau gras,
      o ddydd i ddydd,
I drechu'r gelyn cas
      yn temtio sydd.

Mae arnaf eisiau nerth
      mewn anial maith,
I ddringo'r creigiau serth
      sydd ar fy nhaith.

Mae arnaf eisiau'r Groes,
      a rhin dy Iawn,
Yng nghyfyngderau oes,
      yn noddfa lawn.

Mae arnaf eisiau'r Gwaed
      roist ar y bryn,
Du wyf o'm pen i'm traed,
      O! golch fi'n wyn.

I need thy countenance,
      O great Jesus,
Thy countenance gives peace
      to me every hour,

  O Jesus, my soul
  Needs thee in its fears,
  Bless me, my Surety,
    And listen to my cry.

I need grace,
      from day to day,
To overcome the detestable enemy
      that is tempting.

I need strength
      in a vast desert,
To climb the steep rocks
      that are on my journey.

I need the cross,
      and the merit of thy Atonement,
In the straits of age,
      as a full refuge.

I need the blood
      thou gavest on the hill,
Black I am from my head to my feet,
      O wash me white.

I need Thee every hour,
      most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine
      can peace afford.

  I need Thee, O I need Thee;
  Every hour I need Thee;
  O bless me now, my Saviour,
    I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour,
      stay Thou nearby;
Temptations lose their power
      when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee every hour,
      in joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide,
      or life is in vain.

I need Thee every hour;
      teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises
      in me fulfill.

I need Thee every hour,
      most Holy One;
O make me Thine indeed,
      Thou blessèd Son.
