Jehofa Iôn a ddwêd fel hyn,
Rhag llethu'r gwaelddyn
codaf;
Y gŵr cystuddiol, tlawd, a'r caeth,
Mewn iechydwriaeth dodaf.
Pur iawn yw
geiriau'r Arglwydd nef,
A'i 'ddewid ef sydd berffaith;
Fel arian goethwyd yn y tân,
Fel arian burwyd seithwaith.
O'th fawr drugaredd, Arglwydd, ti
A'u cedwi mewn tangnefedd;
A rhoi, rhag
drygau maith y byd,
I'th blant i gyd ymgeledd.
Casgliad o Salmau a Hymnau (Daniel Rees) 1831
[Mesur: MS 8787] |
The Lord Jehovah has spoken thus,
Against the oppression of the poor man
I will arise;
The afflicted, poor and captive man,
In salvation I will set.
Very pure are
the words of the Lord of heaven,
And his promise is perfect;
Like silver refined in the fire,
Like silver purified seven times.
Of thy great mercy, Lord, thou
Hast keep them in peace;
And given, against
the vast evils of the world,
To all thy children help.
tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion

5 For God, who hears the suff'ring Poor,
and their Oppression
knows,
Will soon arise, and give them Rest,
in spite of all their Foes.
6 The Word of God
shall still abide,
and void of Falshood be,
As is the Silver, sev'n times try'd,
from drossy Mixture free.
7 The Promise of his aiding Grace
shall reach its purpos'd End:
His Servants from
this faithless Race
he ever shall defend.
