Iesu, addfwyn Iesu,
  Annwyl Fab y Tad,
Clyw dy blant yn ymbil
  Arnat am ryddhad.

Datod ein cadwynau,
  Maddau'r drwg i gyd;
Dryllia bob rhyw eilun
  Sydd yn dwyn ei bryd.

Dyro inni ryddid,
  Ryddid cariad pur;
Tyn ni, Brynwr sanctaidd,
  I'r nefolaidd dir.

Arwain ni dy Hunan,
  Tra fôm ar y llawr,
Nes i'r cysgod olaf
  Gilio gyda'r wawr.

Jesus, gentle Jesus,
  Beloved Son of the Father,
Hear thy children pleading
  To thee for freedom.

Loosen our chains,
  Forgive all the evil;
Smash every kind of idol
  That takes our attention.

Grant to us freedom,
  The freedom of pure love;
Draw us, holy Redeemer,
  To the heavenly land.

Lead us thyself,
  While ever we be on earth below,
Until the last shadow
  Retreat with the dawn.

Jesus, meek and gentle,
  Son of God Most High,
Pitying, loving Saviour,
  Hear Thy children's cry.

Pardon our offences,
  Loose our captive chains,
Break down every idol
  Which our soul detains.

Give us holy freedom;
  Fill our hearts with love;
Draw us, holy Jesus,
  To the realms above.

Lead us on our journey;
  Be thyself the way
Through terrestrial darkness
  To celestial day.
