Hoff yw canu am y Ceidwad
  Aned draw ym Methlem dref;
O! na wyddai pawb amdano -
  Cyfaill plant y byd yw Ef.

Daeth o'r nef bob
    cam i'w cadw,
  Y mae eto fyrdd a mwy
Sydd heb wybod
    am ei eni, -
  Ewch â'r newydd iddynt hwy.

Mae'n eu caru hwy fel ninnau,
  A bu farw er eu mwyn;
Onid yw ei enw arnynt,
  Maent o rif ei annwyl ŵyn.

Ewch â'r hanes tlws am Iesu
  Dros y moroedd, drosom ni;
Canwn ninnau am ei gariad,
  A gweddïwn drosoch chwi.

It is lovely to sing about the Saviour
  Born yonder in Bethlehem town;
Oh that everyone would know about him -
  The Friend of the world's children is he.

He came from heaven every
    step to save them,
  There are still a myriad and more
Who are without knowledge
    about his birth, -
  Take the news to them.

He loves them as well as us,
  And he died for their sake;
Is his name not upon them?
  They are of the number of his dear lambs.

Take the pretty story about Jesus
  Across the seas, for us;
We too may sing about his love,
  And we will pray for you.
