Hoff gan Iesu weddi plentyn

(Iesu a'r Plant)
Hoff gan Iesu weddi plentyn,
  Y weddi fechan sydd
I'r nefoedd wen yn esgyn
  Ar dirion aden ffydd;
Drwy weddi cawn ein tywys
  Yn nes i borth y nef,
Ac wrth wneud ei ewyllys,
  Cawn fwy o'i gwmni Ef.

Hoff gan Iesu emyn plentyn,
  Er fod holl deulu'r nef,
Ar dannau'r euraid delyn,
  Yn seinio'i glodydd Ef;
A'r gân fydd yn felysach,
  A mwy o bleser fydd
Wrth roi ufudd-dod llwyrach
  I'w eiriau Ef bob dydd.

Hoff gan Iesu arwain plentyn
  Ymlaen o gam i gam;
A'i ofal i'n hamddiffyn
  Sy'n well na thad a mam,
Cawn beunydd gymorth ganddo
  I rodio'r ffordd i'r nef; -
A dedwydd, dedwydd yno
  Yw pawb o'i garu Ef.

Tôn [8676.7676]: In Memoriam
    (John Stainer 1840-1901)

(Jesus and the Children)
Jesus is fond of a child's prayer,
  The little prayer that is
To bright heaven ascending
  On the tender wing of prayer;
Through prayer we may be guided
  Nearer to the gate of heaven,
And by doing his will,
  We may get more of his company.

Jesus is fond of a child's hymn,
  Although all the family of heaven are,
On the strings of the golden harp,
  Sounding his praises;
And the song shall be sweeter,
  And there shall be more pleasure
By giving more complete submission
  To his words every day.

Jesu is fond leading a child
  Onwards from step to step;
And his care for our defence
  That is better than father and mother,
We may get daay help from him
  To walk the road to heaven; -
And happy, happy there
  Is everyone from loving him.
