[1] Gwrandawed di yr Arglwydd Ner,
  Pan ddel cyfyngder arnad;
Enw Duw Jacob, ein Duw ni,
  A'th gadw di yn wastad.

[2] O'i gyssegr
    rhoed it' help a nerth, 
  A braich o brydferth Sîon; 
[3] Cofied dy offrwm poeth
    a'th rodd, 
  Bo rhai'n wrth fodd ei galon.

[7] Rhai ar gerbydau rhont eu pwys,
  Rhai ar feirch ddwys ymddiried;
Minnau ar enw'r Arglwydd Dduw,
  Mai hwnnw yw'n ymwared.

[9] Cadw ni, Arglwydd â'th law gref,
  Boed Brenhin y nef drosom;
Gwrandawed hwnnw arnom ni,
  A'n gweddi pan y llefom.

[1] May the Sovereign Lord listen to thee,
  When straits come upon thee;
The name of the God of Jacob, our God,
  Will keep thee constantly.
(2)
[2] From his sanctuary
      may he give thee help and strength,
  And an arm from the beautiful Zion;
[3] May he remember thy hot offering
    and thy gift,
  May they satisfy his heart.
(3)
[7] Some lean on chariots,
  Some in horses put trust;
But I in the name of the Lord God,
  That he is our deliverance.
(4)
[9] Keep us, Lord with thy strong hand,
  May the King of heaven be for us;
May he listen to us,
  And our prayer whenever we cry.

1 The Lord to thy request attend,
    and hear thee in distress:
  The name of Jacob's God defend,
    and grant thy arms success.
(2)
2 To aid thee
      from on high repair,
    and strength from Zion give;
3 Remember all
      thy off'rings there,
    thy sacrifice receive.
(3)
7 Some trust in steeds for war designed,
    on chariots some rely;
  against them all we'll call to mind
    the pow'r of God most high.
(4)
9 Still save us, Lord, and still proceed
    our rightful cause to bless;
  Hear, King of Heav'n, in times of need,
    the pray'rs that we address.
